Terms and conditions:
Please read these terms and conditions carefully before using our campground facilities which also contain livestock. By using our campground, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to abide by the following terms and conditions:
Accommodation:

Check-in time is 2pm on day of arrival.

Check-out time is 10am on day of departure.
-
If you wish to have an early check-in or late check-out this must be arranged prior with Veteran’s Retreat and may incur additional costs.

No furniture, crockery, utensils, and any other Veteran’s Retreat property is to be moved/removed/damaged; Veteran’s Retreat will charge your credit card at their discretion for any items that have been removed or damaged or enforce cleaning fees for requiring to return any property to their original position.

Veteran’s Retreat is not responsible for any damage to personal property whilst on the property, this is inclusive of but not limited to damage cause by natural weather events (wind, rain), damage caused by the livestock on the property.

You agree to vacate to property in a reasonably clean condition, with all personal items removed, including anything in the fridges and freezers.

Prior approval is required for all visitors to the property.

Veteran’s Retreat is not responsible for supplying anything but a suitable place to camp, for campers.

The campground is to be left in the condition of arrival.
-
Do not litter on the premises, bins will be provided.
-
No smoking inside or within fifteen meters of an accommodation buildings, including other guests’ campsites.
-
All breakages and/or losses are to be reported immediately, if found on departure you may be liable for repair/replacement costs.
Children:
-
All children are to be supervised at all times by a responsible adult.
-
No children are to enter the livestock areas without a responsible adult AND prior approval from Veteran’s Retreat staff.

Children are to be supervised around livestock at all times.
-
Children are to be supervised in pool area at all times.
-
Children are to be supervised on play equipment at all times.
-
Veteran’s Retreat is not responsible for any injury occurred on the property.
-
Children is any person under the age of 13 years.
-
Veteran’s Retreat reserves the right to charge the payment method on file for any damages to any play equipment.

Veterans Retreat has a range of play equipment that is installed around the property. This includes but is not limited to: The playground, slack line, trampolines and swings. Assessment and acceptance of risk is required by parents/guardians before use of this equipment by their children.

A tyre swing has been installed in a tree near the playground. Prior to use, it is required that these swings are assessed as well as the tree branches that they are installed in. Guests agree that they will assess this equipment to the best of their ability and agree to use the equipment entirely at their own risk / at the risk of their wards.
Other:

The land Veteran’s Retreat is situated on can include exposed roots, uneven surfaces, and other tripping hazards. Due care is to be taken by every guest on the property and Veteran’s Retreat is not responsible for any injury occurred whilst on Veteran’s Retreat property.

Noise is to be kept to a minimum from 9pm till 6am

The first aid equipment is to be used in the event of an emergency only, these are located in the main shed and the feed room. The AED is only in the main shed.

You MUST inform Veteran’s Retreat staff of all items removed from a first aid kit as soon as reasonably possible.

The speed limit on the property is 10 km/h.

All roads on the property are shared zones and caution is to be used.
-
Animals have the right of way on all areas of the property.
-
Abusive, violent, or disrespectful behaviour towards Veteran’s Retreat staff and other guests will not be tolerated.

Intoxication, drug use, littering, smoking in or close to buildings, and/or failure to comply with instructions may result with being asked to leave the property.
-
Unless prior approval has been granted, we have a strict no events or party policy.

Only persons listed on the booking agreement are permitted on the property. Guests can request permission in advance for additional persons to visit for a day trip, however they are not permitted to sleep at the premises.

Guests may enjoy campfires by use of a “hob” or the communal fireplace located on the property. A hob is a portable fireplace that includes a grill and may be moved to individual campsites for use. An open campfire is only allowed in the designated fireplace as set out on the sitemap available. Campfires are subject to council regulations and are not permitted during times of Total Fire Ban. Veterans Retreat Staff will notify campers if a Total Fire Ban is in place.

Do not flush anything down the toilet other than human waste and supplied toilet paper, anything else will damage the septic system.

Only use the environmentally friendly soaps/detergents/etc anything else will damage the septic system.

Under no circumstances can motorised vehicles to be used on the property i.e. motorbikes, quad bikes, ATVs etc.

Do not climb or swing on the gates, they may become unhinged.

All taps on the property are dam water and comply with government standards. Rainwater is only available from the amenities blocks and the kitchen area.
Livestock:
-
Livestock includes sheep, horses, donkeys, cows, chicken, and guineafowl.

Veteran’s Retreat is not responsible for any injuries that may occur from these animals.
-
If the livestock is harmed in anyway by any guest, the guest is required to pay all reasonable veterinary bills and other expenses that may be incurred, this includes but is not limited to repairing fences, ongoing veterinary check-ups, expenses of aids for the livestock.

The chickens and guineafowl on the property are free range and therefore due care is to be made by any guest that these animals are not put in harm’s way. This includes ensuring you are aware of your surroundings before moving a motor vehicle.

Guests are not to enter any livestock paddocks; guests are only permitted in the laneway.
-
The livestock is to be respected at all times.
-
Guests are not to feed the livestock anything without first talking to Veteran’s Retreat staff; this does not include the chickens.
-
The chickens can eat anything except onion, chicken, or eggs. Left over food from the guests can be put into a container in the kitchen or directly into the chicken coop.

Veteran’s Retreat reserves the right to ask any guest to leave the property if the animals are not respected.

Other dangerous animals that may be present on the property include, wild dogs, wild pigs, snakes, spiders, insects, stonefish (in the dams/creek), and ticks. Veteran’s Retreat will provide care in attempting to limit guests’ interaction with aforementioned animals, however, guests are also to take due care.

Follow all posted signs, instructions, and guidelines provided by campground staff regarding livestock interaction, safety, and appropriate behaviour.

Respect the livestock's space and do not disturb, harass, or chase them. Any aggressive behaviour toward the animals will not be tolerated and may result in eviction from the campground.

Ensure that all gates and enclosures are securely closed after use to prevent the animals from escaping. Report any damage or open gates to campground staff immediately.

Be aware, electric fences are in use on the property, please use caution around fences.
Acceptance of Risks and Liabilities:

The presence of livestock at the campground introduces inherent risks and hazards. You acknowledge and accept that interacting with the livestock and being in their vicinity may involve certain risks, including but not limited to injuries, allergies, or property damage.

You agree that you will assume full responsibility for your safety and the safety of any accompanying individuals, including children or pets, while on the premises.

You acknowledge that you are staying at Veterans Retreat as a tourist guest, for holiday purposes only, unless otherwise stated in writing and signed by management.
Health and Hygiene:

Practice good hygiene when interacting with the livestock. Wash your hands thoroughly with soap and water after touching the animals or their surroundings.

If you have any allergies or medical conditions that may be affected by the presence of livestock, it is your responsibility to take appropriate precautions and seek medical advice, if necessary.
Liability and Damages:

Veteran’s Retreat, management, and staff shall not be held liable for any injuries, damages, losses, or accidents resulting from your use of the campground or interactions with the livestock. This includes, but is not limited to, your person, property, vehicle and equipment.

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Veteran’s Retreat, management, and staff from any claims, liabilities, costs, or damages arising from your actions or negligence while using the campground facilities or in relation to the livestock.
Pets:

If you bring a pet to Veteran’s Retreat, you are solely responsible for their behaviour and safety. Pets must be kept on a leash at all times and are not be allowed near the livestock, unless authorised by the campground staff.

Any damage caused by your pet to the campground facilities, livestock, or other guests' property shall be your responsibility.

Pets on the property are to be well-behaved and controlled. Veteran’s Retreat is not liable for any injuries to pets, this includes but is not limited to, tick bites, dog fights, livestock related injuries or any other injury or death.

You are responsible for cleaning up after your pet, failure to do so may result in additional charges or future refusal.
Compliance with Laws and Regulations:

You agree to comply with all applicable laws, regulations, and policies governing the use of the campground and the interaction with livestock.

Any violations of the law or these terms and conditions may result in eviction from the campground without a refund.
Changes and Amendments:

The campground reserves the right to modify or amend these terms and conditions at any time without prior notice. It is your responsibility to review the terms periodically for any updates.
Severability:

If any provision of these terms and conditions is deemed invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue to be valid and enforceable to the fullest extent permitted by law.
By using our campground facilities that also contain livestock, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by these terms and conditions.
Failure to comply with these terms may result in eviction from the campground without refund.
Liability Waiver
I acknowledge that by reason of the nature of activities in which I or my children/wards/partner may participate at Veterans Retreat there is a risk of injury, death or an adverse effect to any current or past medical conditions. As such I acknowledge and agree that I and my children/wards/partner engage in activities on the site, at the my/their own risk. I give Veterans Retreat authority, at the sole discretion of Veterans Retreat, to obtain medical and ambulance assistance on behalf of the guest in the case of injury, death or ill health while on site and communicate with my next of kin or emergency contacts as may be required. In staying at Veterans Retreat, I agree as follows: I fully understand and acknowledge that staying at Veterans Retreat and participating in its activities includes risks, dangers, and hazards which may result in injury or illness including, but not limited to bodily injury, disease, strains, fractures, partial and/or total paralysis, death or other ailments that, could cause serious disability or aggravate current and/or past medical conditions. I hereby assume all risks and dangers and all responsibility for any losses and/or damages. I, on behalf of myself, my children, wards, personal representatives and any other heirs, hereby voluntarily agree to release, waive, discharge, hold harmless, defend, and indemnify Veterans Retreat and all its staff from any and all claims, actions or losses as a result of bodily injury, property damage, wrongful death, loss of services or otherwise which may arise out of participation in all activities while on the premises. I specifically understand that I am releasing, discharging, and waiving any claims or actions that I may have presently or in the future against Veterans Retreat.
